Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has approved ₹9.80 crore to upgrade the medical facilities at 14 government hospitals in Uttar Pradesh, marking a major step to improve healthcare delivery in underserved areas. The ruling is consistent with the state’s long-term plan, “Viksit UP 2047,” which seeks to guarantee that every district has access to cutting-edge, first-rate medical facilities.

Enhancing Access in Backward and Rural Areas

The most recent funding prioritizes places with limited access to sophisticated technology and diagnostic services. Patients from rural, isolated, and economically underdeveloped areas won’t have to travel to large cities for necessary testing or specialist care because to this funding. The action is anticipated to greatly lessen the strain on the state’s other tertiary medical facilities as well as Lucknow’s central hospitals.

Comprehensive Distribution Among Districts

The money will be split among a number of district hospitals in accordance with the government’s permission order in order to purchase diagnostic equipment, contemporary medical equipment, and necessary healthcare improvements.

Sadhamau BKT’s Ramsagar Mishra Joint Hospital will receive ₹2.70 crore.
₹1.16 crore for the District Joint Hospital in Maharajganj ₹1.52 crore for the District Women’s Hospital in Balrampur ₹1.56 crore for the District Hospital in Rae Bareli

Other hospitals have also received smaller yet noteworthy grants:

• ₹28.55 lakh for Baghpat’s District Joint Hospital
• Diwan Shatrughan Singh Joint Hospital in Hamirpur will receive ₹3.35 lakh.
• Women’s Hospital, Harraiya, Basti: ₹8.68 lakh
• For Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Joint District Hospital in Etawah, ₹38.96 lakh

These monies will assist in addressing significant deficiencies in the infrastructure for medical tests and essential healthcare services in their particular areas.

Pay Attention to Advanced Diagnostic Capabilities

A significant chunk of the approved funds will be used to buy devices like CT scanners, X-ray machines, and other diagnostic instruments that are essential for detecting potentially fatal illnesses including cancer, neurological issues, and cardiac diseases. Doctors will be able to diagnose and treat serious illnesses more quickly with these machines available locally, eliminating delays brought on by referrals to distant hospitals.

According to the government, district-level hospitals’ increased diagnostic capabilities will significantly shorten wait times, enabling patients to receive prompt and reasonably priced medical care.
