CM Nayab Singh Saini meets Canadian High Commissioner; bilateral cooperation in education, technology, and youth employment to boost Haryana’s global growth.

The State Government of Haryana, led by Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, is constantly working to make Haryana a world center for education. Christopher Cooter, Canada’s High Commissioner to India, continued these efforts on Tuesday by making a courtesy call to Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini at his home in Sant Kabir Kutir.

Canada promised to work with Haryana on this occasion in areas including investment, education, and technical cooperation. Canada’s proposal to establish a university in Haryana was also discussed.

It was discussed at the meeting that a Fast-Track System will be used to ease the investment processes between Canada and Haryana. This technology will make it possible to provide all required services, streamline approval processes, and improve departmental cooperation. Additionally, Canada indicated interest in deepening its strategic and economic ties with Haryana, given the state’s robust industrial base, quick economic growth, and investor-friendly legislation.

This project between Canada and Haryana will boost international ties, create jobs more quickly, and open up new investment opportunities in the state. The government wants to make Haryana the most dependable place in North India for foreign investment.

Christopher Cooter also had in-depth conversations with the Chief Minister on potential waste-to-energy projects, power generation, and boosting the involvement of young people from Haryana in Canada’s mining industry.

Additionally, they discussed a thorough plan to draw in Canadian investors to Haryana in order to strengthen and improve the two countries’ bilateral business ties.

According to Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, the Haryana government is dedicated to giving young people access to opportunities around the world and advancing the state to new heights of prosperity. Young people are receiving skill training in accordance with industry standards, and great efforts are also being made to help them find work overseas.

He continued by saying that the State Government has set a goal to increase Haryana’s economy to $1 trillion by 2047, with significant contributions anticipated from industries like artificial intelligence, energy, and education.

He added that the State Government has made Ease of Doing Business a top priority in an effort to make Haryana a desirable location for international businesses. A distinct Department of Foreign Cooperation has been set up for this reason, and it constantly works with investors, diplomats, and other representatives to foster cooperation.

The Chief Minister received assurances from the High Commissioner that the collaboration between Haryana and Canada will develop in a multifaceted way in the future and that the State’s youth and citizens would directly benefit from it.

Principal Chief Secretary Sh. Rajesh Khullar, Chief Secretary Sh. Anurag Rastogi, Additional Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. Saket Kumar, Department of Foreign Cooperation Advisor Sh. Pawan Choudhary, and other officials were present at the event.
