Geeta Jayanti marked by MP CM Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurating Indore’s modern Geeta Bhavan with innovative facilities & spiritual education.
On the auspicious celebration of the International Geeta Mahotsav and Geeta Jayanti, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav dedicated Madhya Pradesh’s first modern Geeta Bhavan in the government sector today. Dr. Yadav said that all municipal corporations, municipal councils, and nagar panchayats in the State shall establish comparable Geeta Bhavans. In Indore, the recently opened Geeta Bhavan is a singular fusion of the old and the new. The historic Gopal Temple complex has been transformed into a contemporary Geeta Bhavan and dedicated to the State’s citizens as part of the Geeta Bhavan Project. This new Geeta Bhavan has a number of cutting-edge amenities thanks to the Smart City concept.
Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silawat, Mayor Shri Pushyamitra Bhargav, MLA Shri Golu Shukla, Shri Sumit Mishra, Shri Shravan Singh Chawda, Chairman of the Scheduled Castes Finance Development Corporation Shri Sawan Sonkar, Shri Gaurav Randive, Divisional Commissioner Dr. Sudam Khade, Police Commissioner Shri Santosh Kumar Singh, Collector Shri Shivam Verma, Municipal Commissioner Shri Dilip Kumar Yadav, Secretary of Bharat Nyas Shri Ram Tiwari, and CEO of Smart City Shri Arth Jain were among those present.

Madhya Pradesh is guided by the teachings of the Geeta, devotion to Lord Krishna, and the magnificent legacy of Malwa, according to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. He claimed that Lord Krishna, who was educated in Ujjain, had a strong connection to the Malwa region through his heavenly hobbies. He went on to say that Ahilyabai Holkar protected India’s cultural legacy and repaired a number of sacred locations throughout the country.
According to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, the Geeta gives people inner strength when they face difficulties and serves as a lifelong guidance. The Geeta is filled with wisdom, science, philosophy, yoga, and the spirit of duty in each chapter. Through His Virat Swaroop, Lord Krishna aroused a feeling of duty and liberated humanity from fear. He said that on the occasion of Geeta Jayanti, a number of records were made around the state. Additionally, the Chief Minister declared the winners of the contests held during the occasion. Along with financial awards, the victors will also receive computers, e-bikes, e-rickshaws, and other items. According to him, Lord Krishna’s life serves as an inspiration for solidarity, bravery, defending dharma, and standing up to injustice. He emphasized that the Geeta, which illustrates the path of devotion, knowledge, and karma leading to freedom, is a guiding force at every stage of life. The Geeta offers courage in times of need, inner strength in times of adversity and guidance in times of bewilderment, and steadfast friendship in the dark.
According to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, the Smart City Project was started to protect heritage while promoting development under the direction of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The Chief Minister also unveiled two books: Amrutasya Avantika, written by Shri Raghavdas Panditdas and published by Veer Bharat Nyas under the Department of Culture, and Shrikrishna Charit Manas, written by Shri Rameshwar Lakhanlal Patidar. He said that Shri Rameshwar Lakhanlal Patidar would receive a ₹5 lakh monetary prize. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav saw a dance drama choreographed by Shri Sanjeev Malviya that was based on the events of Lord Krishna’s life.
According to Mayor Shri Pushyamitra Bhargav, Indore is proud of this moment. According to him, the Geeta teaches that people’s rights are inherently safeguarded when they uphold their dharma and obligations. He continued by saying that Madhya Pradesh has seen a new cultural revival in the last two years and that the State is moving quickly from heritage to development under the direction of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav prayed for the prosperity and well-being of the State and conducted prayer at the ancient Gopal Temple before to the ceremony. He also looked over the temple’s recently constructed amenities, such as the contemporary library and exhibition space.

Cutting edge Bhavan Geeta
The new Geeta Bhavan was built at the Gopal Temple in Rajwada as part of the Indore Smart City Project. This facility’s cutting-edge 550-seat theater for cultural events, talks, and educational programs is one of its main features.
There is also a contemporary digital library with around 1,200 books on spirituality, philosophy, yoga, meditation, Indian culture, mindfulness, and life management, as well as a calm 50-seat reading area. Online courses, audio-video lectures, e-books, and other digital resources are easily accessible through digital archives. In order to create a serene and motivating atmosphere, the inside of the library has been constructed with natural tones, spiritual artwork, indoor plants, and soothing lighting.
The temple complex has been transformed into an inclusive cultural space that promotes art and culture in addition to religious legacy through the development of exhibition galleries in its rebuilt portions.
