Palash Muchhal was hospitalized due to stress after Smriti Mandhana’s wedding was postponed, but doctors confirm no serious heart issues.
Palash Muchhal, a music composer, was released from the hospital on Wednesday after being admitted earlier this week due to the abrupt cancellation of his wedding to cricket player Smriti Mandhana. Doctors treating him have now released a complete health update, indicating that his episode was prompted by stress and not a significant heart catastrophe.
Physicians claim that stress was the cause of Palash’s illness.
Palash initially sought treatment at a hospital in Sangli after feeling soreness in his chest, according to the medical personnel who attended to him. After his condition didn’t get better, he was moved to a facility in Mumbai, where he arrived feeling uneasy, breathless, and experiencing excruciating chest discomfort.
One of the top physicians keeping an eye on Palash, Dr. Dipendra Tripathi, was quoted by Mid-Day as saying, “Palash’s condition appears to be linked to stress-related distress rather than a serious cardiac event.”
Palash underwent standard cardiac assessments, such as an ECG and 2D echocardiography, after being admitted to SRV Hospital.

There was no sign of a serious cardiac or medical emergency, even though some levels were discovered to be somewhat elevated. In these situations, oxygen therapy was initiated right away as a fundamental treatment approach. Palash was moved to a general room and closely monitored after being stabilized initially, the doctor continued.
According to the doctors, the episode was probably brought on by the extreme emotional strain caused by recent events. They saw a consistent improvement in his vitals and stress levels with rest and supportive treatment.
Palash was released; three weeks of total relaxation were advised.
Hospital authorities reported on Wednesday that Palash is now stable, recovering, and has been formally discharged. To prevent a recurrence of symptoms, he has been recommended to rest completely for at least three weeks.
The announcement follows reports that Shrinivas Mandhana, Smriti Mandhana’s father, was released from Sarvhit Hospital early on Monday.
Lead-up to the health emergency
Palash and Smriti were scheduled to wed in Sangli on November 23. Shrinivas Mandhana, however, reportedly experienced heart attack-like symptoms just hours prior to the ceremony and needed to be sent to Sarvhit Hospital for emergency treatment.
The music composer was profoundly affected by Shrinivas’ unexpected sickness, Palash’s mother subsequently told Hindustan Times.
She revealed that because Palash is “very close” to her father, she and Smriti chose to postpone the wedding till he fully recovered. Palash himself was admitted a day later after he started feeling ill.
