Punjab Speaker Sandhwan announces a Constitution Day mock student session at Anandpur Sahib, letting students honour Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s 350th martyrdom.

Speaker of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan said today that on November 26, also known as Constitution Day, a mock student session will take place in the temporary Punjab Vidhan Sabha at Sri Anandpur Sahib rather than Chandigarh. Students will get the opportunity to honor Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji’s 350th anniversary of martyrdom during the mock student session.

According to the speaker, education becomes far more than just books when a government decides to teach its youngsters how to live. It is in Punjab that this movement has arisen.

He emphasized that in this mock student session, kids from different government schools throughout the state have been chosen to act as the Chief Minister, Speaker, Ministers, MLAs, and the opposition. This is a significant move that will link democratic processes and education.
