UP CM Yogi Adityanath welcomes saffron flag hoisting at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya. PM Modi to lead the historic ceremony

Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, welcomed the impending flag-raising ceremony at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya on Tuesday, describing it as an important milestone in India’s “civilizational journey.” The occasion, which officially completes the temple’s construction, is regarded as a time of great cultural and spiritual significance.

CM Yogi wrote on X (previously Twitter) that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s raising of the saffron flag marked the beginning of a “golden chapter” in the history of religion, civilization, and humanity. Declaring that the flag symbolizes the “religious and cultural restoration” of India, he underlined the event’s symbolic meaning.

“In the sacred hands of Honorable Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji and in the dignified presence of the esteemed Sarsanghchalak of @RSSorg, the revered Dr. Mohan Bhagwat ji, the grand saffron flag—symbolizing our religious and cultural restoration—will be hoisted atop the pinnacle of the ‘Rashtra Mandir’ Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple,” wrote Chief Minister Yogi.

He went on to say that raising the flag is a “proclamation of humanity’s soul,” signifying the “eternal immortality of faith” and the “invincible victory of truth.” In addition to being a symbol, the flag is depicted as a sign of the inner fortitude that has sustained the light of righteousness over the ages.

The saffron flag, which is 22 feet long and 11 feet wide, was made especially for the event. The flag, which weighs between 2 and 3 kilograms and was designed by a parachute specialist from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, is made to endure the high elevations of the temple’s 42-foot flagpole and 161-foot peak.

The hoisting event, which is slated for an auspicious time at around 12:00 p.m., will be conducted by Prime Minister Modi. Stressing the importance of the event for the country, CM Yogi also greeted the dignitaries and distinguished guests who will be present to witness the historic occasion.

Authorities are enforcing stringent precautions in Ayodhya ahead of the ritual, including prohibiting visitors from using cell phones on temple property. The flag hoisting is anticipated to draw thousands of devotees, spiritual leaders, and dignitaries, marking a significant milestone in the current cultural revival focused on Ayodhya.

Leaders and followers alike see the occasion as a victory of faith, culture, and tradition, and it is not only a religious milestone but also a representation of India’s continuing civilizational ethos.
