Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and Arvind Kejriwal commence Sri Akhand Path Sahib to mark Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s 350th martyrdom, urging unity, peace, and social harmony.
As part of commemorative events to mark the 350th martyrdom day of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur ji, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday received the blessings of the Almighty for the commencement of the Sri Akhand Path sahib at Gurdwara Baba Budha Dal Chouni, with puran Sikh maryada.
The AAP’s national convener and chief minister stated that they had enlisted Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji’s blessings to ensure the seamless planning and completion of the festivities the state government is planning to commemorate Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur ji’s martyrdom. They claimed that Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji was a beacon of peace and tranquility for all of humanity and that they had a responsibility to uphold the lofty principles that our great Sikh gurus had taught. According to Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Singh Mann, Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji is a storehouse of secularism, socialism, and worldwide brotherhood that will direct humanity’s course.
The state administration is adhering to Sri Guru Granth sahib ji in letter and spirit for the enlightenment and betterment of the state’s citizens, according to the Chief Minister and National Convener of the AAP. They said that the state government is planning these massive festivities to commemorate Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur ji’s 350th martyrdom day, drawing inspiration from Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji. Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Singh Mann urged the populace to adhere to the lofty principles of secularism, humanism, and selflessness as taught and demonstrated by Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, also known as “Hind Di Chaadar.”
Since Guru Ji gave his life to defend the freedom to worship and uphold secular and human values, the Chief Minister and National Convener of the AAP said they were happy to have been given the chance to plan these activities. According to him, the ultimate sacrifice made by Guru Ji is unlike anything else in human history and represents the fight against injustice and tyranny. According to Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Singh Mann, the teachings of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji’s bani in the Sri Guru Granth Sahib emphasize compassion, bravery, righteousness, and the unity of all people.
“The true homage to the great Guru is to follow their teachings in their true spirit and re-dedicate ourselves to serve society, especially the poor and downtrodden, with dedication and missionary zeal rising above the petty considerations of caste, color, creed, and religion,” stated the Chief Minister and National Convener of the AAP.
