CM Bhagwant Mann unveils Punjab’s Fastrack Portal Phase 2, unifying 173 services for fast approvals, transparency, and ₹1.40 lakh crore investments.

In an effort to further streamline business facilitation in the state, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann unveiled the second phase of the Fastrack Portal Phase 2 on Friday. This phase unifies 173 industrial services on a single platform.

With the implementation of a true “single window with a single pen” system, Punjab’s industrial policy has entered a new era, according to Mann, who spoke at the occasion. The goal of this system is to increase efficiency and transparency. He emphasized that a pen is a more powerful tool than a stick, signifying prompt decision-making and effective governance.

According to Mann, the government has implemented the idea of “deemed approval” to guarantee that enterprises obtain fast permits, thereby reaffirming Punjab’s resolve to become an attractive location for investors. The CM said that, as a result of coordinated monitoring, the number of applications pending has decreased to zero, and that 47 services from nine departments are currently operational on the portal.

The chief minister emphasized that Punjab has experienced a notable reverse migration of industry, attracting ₹1.40 lakh crore in fresh investments and creating around five lakh employment. He encouraged young people in the state to build their own businesses in order to change from being job seekers to becoming employment producers.

Mann referred to businessmen as the second “annadata” after farmers, stating that both groups are crucial to Punjab’s economic development. The administration is putting significant measures into place to improve transparency and streamline industry processes, he continued. Entrepreneurs will benefit greatly from the recently adopted Punjab Right to Business (Amendment) Rules, 2025, he said.

According to Mann, businesses from the US, UK, Dubai, South Korea, Singapore, Japan, and Spain now choose Punjab as their favorite location for investments. The state has improved its standing in the Ease of Doing Business rankings by implementing policies that are favorable to the business and having transparent governance.
