CM Yogi Adityanath praises FICCI FLO, women’s leadership, and UP’s economic growth. Programs like BC Sakhi & Mission Shakti empower women nationwide.
Yogi Adityanath : “Progress must be inclusive and centered on women’s empowerment,” he said, speaking at the interstate meeting of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry Ladies Organization (FICCI FLO) in Lucknow. If a civilization ignores half of its people, it cannot be self-sufficient.
He praised FICCI FLO for helping to advance women’s leadership and pushed the group to expand its grassroots outreach.
“Under his administration, women’s employment in Uttar Pradesh has grown dramatically. Women currently make up 35–36% of the workforce, up from 12–15% when the BJP took power in Uttar Pradesh in 2017. Since a necessary 20 percent quota for women in police recruitment was implemented, the number of women in the UP Police has increased from 10,000 in 2017 to 44,000, he said.
He added that protecting the safety and security of his people, particularly women, has been his government’s first priority.
He claimed that prior to 2017, the state was characterized by lawlessness and insecurity, but that UP is now a national example for peace and order because of its rigorous law enforcement and zero-tolerance policy toward criminal activity.

“UP has received investment proposals totaling ₹45 lakh crore thanks to the improved environment, of which ₹15 lakh crore have already been grounded.” The chief minister stated that new job possibilities would result from the upcoming implementation of additional initiatives totaling ₹5 lakh crore.
Along with highlighting India’s explosive economic growth over the last ten years, Yogi predicted that under the direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, the country’s economy will rise to become the third largest in the world.
He cited programs like the BC Sakhi program, which has made it possible for women in every hamlet to offer banking services, Mission Shakti, and Operation Kayakalp, which focuses on fundamental education.
“The program’s success in encouraging financial independence is demonstrated by the fact that many BC Sakhis now earn sizable monthly incomes,” he stated.
He stated that the Pledge Park Scheme has been put into place, whereby the government offers private parties subsidies per acre for establishing businesses on 10 to 50 acres.
Twelve pledge parks have been created in Uttar Pradesh thus far. “FICCI FLO should utilize the MSME program and encourage aspiring female entrepreneurs to utilize the Private Industrial Park Program,” he stated.
He also discussed how India benefited from a downturn in Bangladesh’s ready-made clothing industry.
Through skill development, design training, and clothing production, FICCI FLO can assist women in accessing the readymade market, possibly opening up new sources of income for millions of women. By linking women entrepreneurs, SHGs, FPOs, and start-up founders nationwide, it should seek to increase its membership from 16,000 to 16 lakh, he stated.
