Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini orders all black spots cleared by March 2026, strengthens school transport safety, and enforces strict traffic rules statewide.

At a high-level road safety conference held here today, Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini gave strict instructions to all departments to make sure that all of the state’s recognized road black spots be fixed by March 31, 2026. He underlined the need for a concerted, mission-mode campaign to address accident-prone areas as soon as possible.

In order to drastically lower the number of accidents in the state, the Chief Minister presented a comprehensive list of actions during the meeting, such as making sure that students are transported safely, bolstering the road infrastructure, and enforcing severe traffic laws.

To facilitate smooth transport for school-going and college-bound kids, the Chief Minister ordered the deployment of more buses during morning peak hours with shorter intervals, citing the growing number of pupils. He clarified that, just like government buses, private operators must also provide student passes and threatened to take severe action if any complaints were filed.

Sh. Nayab Singh Saini called schoolchildren’s safety the government’s top priority and instructed the relevant personnel to uphold all school transportation regulations. He oversaw routine examinations of school bus safety regulations, which included making sure GPS devices were operating correctly.

Notably, the Chief Minister emphasized quick field action and ongoing monitoring to ensure a noticeable decline in the number of accidents, and all departments were instructed to locate and remove all road black spots by the deadline.

Nodal Officer at the State Level to Organize Road Safety Initiatives

The Chief Minister ordered the appointment of a specialized nodal officer to handle accident-related matters, monitor compliance, and promote initiatives to lower fatalities in order to expedite interdepartmental collaboration.

Traffic infractions, overloading, and speeding will result in severe punishment.

The Chief Minister, who took a tough stand against traffic infractions, ordered that CCTV cameras be used for speed monitoring. Reckless driving is still one of the main causes of traffic accidents, thus he instructed the responsible authorities to challenge overspeeding and overloading vehicles right away.

Pothole repair, road signage, speed breakers, and improved construction monitoring

The installation of speed breakers at the intersections of link roads and main roads was ordered by the chief minister. A smartphone app must be used to track road building works, and contractors that are careless will face consequences. According to Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, potholes should be addressed right away, dim areas should have enough illumination, and fading road markings and signage should be replaced.

Shelters for Bus Queues and the Campaign Against Drinking and Driving

The Chief Minister gives orders for the construction of appropriate bus queue shelters at specified halting locations in order to optimize bus operations.

In order to deter such behavior, he also instructed the officers to enforce the law strictly against intoxicated driving and to post public awareness banners.

All Vehicles Must Have Reflectors; Special Fog-Season Campaign

In order to raise awareness throughout the state, the Chief Minister mandated reflectors on all vehicles in anticipation of the impending winter season, when heavy fog is a major cause of accidents. He made it clear that residents should not be penalized for the installation of reflectors, and he urged district road safety committees to take this seriously.

It is necessary to move stray cattle to secure locations.

The Chief Minister ordered that stray cattle be moved to secure shelters because he was worried about them posing a threat to traffic. He asked departments to work with urgency and sincerity and stated that the impact of these actions must be evident in fewer accidents.
