Kurukshetra’s Brahma Sarovar comes alive with folk music, traditional dances, and colorful performances during the International Gita Mahotsav 2025.

Large crowds of people gathered on the southern bank of Brahma Sarovar on the second day of the ongoing International Gita Mahotsav 2025 in Kurukshetra to enjoy the beautiful folk music of several Indian states. For the International Gita Mahotsav, artists from Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh have traveled specifically to showcase their cultural talents. During Mahotsav, cultural events are being held on the Brahma Sarovar ghats.

According to an official spokesperson, artists from Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh are performing traditional dances and folk songs on the ghats of Brahma Sarovar as part of the first phase of the International Gita Mahotsav-2025, which is being organized by the North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC), Patiala. This year as well, the stilt walkers have grown to be a unique attraction, particularly for small children.

The guests have been captivated by their distinctive and intriguing folk rhythms. Visitors have been moved to join in and dance joyfully by the sounds of the bansuri, kacchi ghodi, Rajasthani folk arts, drummers, deru musicians, and many more ancient forms.
