Bhagwant Mann government ensures smooth paddy procurement with MSP paid to 11.3 lakh farmers; 1.54 crore MT harvested, 91% lifting completed.

Taking every precaution to guarantee a seamless paddy procurement process, the Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, has taken the initiative to provide the minimum support price (M) to 11,31,270 farmers until November 12 (S. p.). The benefit has been realized.

Under the direction of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak, the purchase, lifting, and payment processes are proceeding well. As of right now, 96,920 farmers are leading the state in receiving the minimum support price.

A total of 1,54,78,162.41 MT of paddy has been infused in the mandis throughout the state as of the evening of November 12. 99% of the whole crop, or 1,53,89,039.51 MT of paddy, has been purchased from these. At 1,41,09,483.18 MT, the overall lifting figure represents 91% of the harvest to date.
