Punjab holds light and sound shows across four cities to mark 350th anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s martyrdom, highlighting his life, teachings and sacrifice.

The Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, organized light and sound shows in Ludhiana, Kapurthala, Sri Muktsar Sahib, and Barnala on Friday as part of the state-wide commemorative celebrations commemorating the 350th anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s martyrdom. The sangat, along with Cabinet Ministers, Members of Parliament, MLAs, and local leaders, enthusiastically participated in the programs.

 According to a spokeswoman, Sanjeev Arora, the minister of power, industries, and commerce, and Hardeep Singh Mundian, the minister of housing and urban development, were present at the Light and Sound Show, which took place at Punjab Agricultural University in Ludhiana. Similarly, Rajya Sabha Member Sant Baba Balbir Singh Seechewal and Defence Services Welfare Minister Mohinder Bhagat joined the sangat at the Guru Nanak Stadium in Kapurthala to watch the performance that emphasized Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s unmatched sacrifice and profound philosophy.

Along with local officials and devotees, Lok Sabha Member Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer and MLA Kulwant Singh Pandori attended the celebration at Barnala’s Baba Kala Mehr Stadium. MLA Jagdeep Singh Kaka Brar, meantime, made an appearance at the Light and Sound Show held at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium in Sri Muktsar Sahib.

The efforts made by the Punjab Government to enhance awareness of the Ninth Guru’s life and teachings were commended by the sangat present at these occasions. The Light and Sound Shows depicted Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s entire life story, philosophy, teachings, and ultimate martyrdom using cutting-edge laser lights and 3D projection technology. He gave his life to defend religious freedom and human ideals.
