Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini orders Kurukshetra Development projects to be completed on time, ensuring quality at pilgrimage sites like Brahmasarovar.
Mr. Nayab Singh Saini, the chief minister of Haryana, ordered that all projects under the Kurukshetra Development Board (KDB) be finished on schedule, with a focus on preserving the quality of each Kurukshetra Development projects. He was clear that any carelessness or slackness in this area would not be accepted.
The Chief Minister presided over a review meeting to evaluate the state of the repair, beautification, and rehabilitation projects being undertaken at KDB pilgrimage sites.
In order to facilitate people’ access to Brahmasarovar and Jyotisar, Mr. Saini said that the restoration and beautification projects at these locations should be finished as soon as possible before the fair begins. He mandated that any modifications to authorized projects require prior authorization. Only after appropriate drawings have been prepared should development work begin, and deadlines for drawings, DNITs, and associated tasks should be set.

The Chief Minister gave the order to begin building a ghat on the pond and installing paintings and other visitor displays as soon as possible after reviewing the progress at the Bhaur Sainda tiratha in Pehowa. He instructed officials to provide a thorough report on all ongoing work and mentioned that a separate meeting to discuss KDB’s development projects will be conducted soon.
The Chief Minister was also concerned that nothing had been done about the crocodile that was allegedly discovered in the Bhaur Sainda pond. He gave Dr. Saket Kumar, the Additional Principal Secretary, instructions to look into the situation and provide a report. He reaffirmed that in order for guests visiting for the Gita Jayanti to have a meaningful and educational experience, Brahmasarovar and Jyotisar must be restored and made more aesthetically pleasing before the fair starts.
Additionally, he instructed the relevant ministries to hasten the construction of plaques at the 182 pilgrimage locations under the KDB that show passages from the Mahabharata. To create a magnificent and lovely atmosphere during the Gita Mahotsav and Aarti, work on erecting high-mast lights and tricolor illumination at pilgrimage sites like Brahmasarovar, Gyan Sarovar, Jyotisar, and others should be finished quickly.
The Chief Minister thoroughly examined the work being done by the Executive Engineers of the KDB-affiliated Panchayati Raj Institutions, the Electrical Department, and the Public Works Department. He gave the order to expedite ongoing projects to fulfill the deadlines and to complete those that have already reached 80–90% completion by December.
The meeting was also attended by Mr. B.B. Bharti, OSD to CM, Dr. Saket Kumar, Additional Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, and Kurukshetra Development Board members and officials.
