Punjab launches the ‘White City’ project in Sri Anandpur Sahib to honor Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s 350th Martyrdom Anniversary with a citywide transformation.

A revolutionary ‘White City’ project has been launched  to commemorate the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib ji in a magnificent manner, marking a historic initiative to enhance the spiritual and historical vibrations of the historic city Sri Anandpur Sahib.

Following the completion of Adras by Baba Satnam Singh Ji of Kar Sewa wale, Qila Anandgarh Sahib, Punjab Education Minister and Sri Anandpur Sahib MLA S. Harjot Singh Bains began the ambitious project with a paintbrush, beginning at the local bus stand and working his way throughout the city to paint it white.

S. Harjot Singh Bains outlined the project’s objective, saying, ” we set out on a quest to create Sri Anandpur Sahib a beacon of beauty, harmony, and devotion. This endeavor is a pledge to our future generations and our great legacy. While we clean every street and corner, renovate every road, and cover the entire city in white, the holy city’s divine atmosphere is already being felt.”

The Education Minister highlighted the tremendous support from the community, revealing that more than 20,000 liters of white paint have been donated by charitable donors for the first phase. “This initiative is a powerful testament to the spirit of inclusivity and collective efforts,” he emphasized.

The Education Minister stated, “We will cover every street and every neighbourhood for the next five to seven days, ensuring that the transformative touch of white paint makes the city spotless,” while inviting the youth and panchayats to take part in this enormous Sewa.

“The ‘White City’ project is envisioned as a continuous campaign, with the current phase set to be sustained to ensure the complete and lasting beautification of Sri Anandpur Sahib to make it a radiant symbol of the Guru’s legacy for the millions of pilgrims expected for the Ninth Guru Sahib’s 350th Martyrdom Anniversary commemorations,” S. Harjot Singh Bains claimed, guaranteeing the full support of the Rupnagar district administration for this project.

“On this sacred ground, where Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji laid the foundation of a spiritual citadel, we begin a humble Sewa to reflect the Guru Sahib’s divine light,” said S. Harjot Singh Bains, evoking the spirit of the Guru’s teachings.
