CM Nayab Singh Saini unveils new plans to make Gurugram traffic-free with underpasses, sewer upgrades, new hospital, and smart infrastructure projects.

The State Government is totally dedicated to creating Gurugram a city with easy transit and no traffic jams, according to CM  Nayab Singh Saini. He said that finding a long-term solution to traffic problems is a government priority and that deliberate, methodical action is being taken. During today’s 15th meeting of the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA), the Chief Minister gave an overview of the city’s infrastructure and development projects.

The meeting took place in the PWD Rest House and was attended by Haryana’s Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh, Union Minister and local MP Rao Inderjit Singh, and Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Rajesh Khullar, who joined by video conference. MLAs Tejpal Tanwar (Sohna), Bimla Chaudhary (Pataudi), and Mukesh Sharma (Gurugram) attended the event, as did Principal Advisor D.S. Dhesi of the GMDA, Additional Chief Secretary (Town and Country Planning & Urban Estates) A.K. Singh, and Principal Secretary (Power) Shyamal Mishra.

The Chief Minister gave commands to authorities, stating that in order to guarantee the timely provision of utilities to the populace, the pace of ongoing development projects in Gurugram should be accelerated. In addition, he went over the decisions made at the last GMDA meeting.

Traffic Congestion Will Be Reduced in the Millennium City Metro Station Area

According to Saini, traffic congestion around the Millennium City Metro Station would soon be alleviated. An underpass will be built to guarantee seamless access to sectors 27, 29, 43, and 44. Officials were instructed by the Chief Minister to draft the project’s Detailed Project Report (DPR) as soon as possible. He said that in addition to reducing traffic around the metro station, the underpass would make it easier to travel on roads that connect to the Delhi-Jaipur National Highway. Residents, office workers, and tourists will all gain a great deal from the initiative, which will also improve the city’s overall traffic system.

The PPP model will be used to operate Shree Sheetla Mata Medical College, and civil hospital construction will soon start.

In-depth talks about health-related development initiatives in the Gurugram district took place throughout the meeting. The Chief Minister examined Shree Sheetla Mata Medical College’s operations and the status of the proposed civil hospital. The formation of a high-level committee to investigate Shree Sheetla Mata Medical College’s operations in the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model was decided upon. According to the chief minister, one of the government’s key priority is to improve access to high-quality healthcare services and sophisticated medical facilities. In order to guarantee improved healthcare facilities for the general people, he gave officials instructions to complete these projects as quickly as possible. He went on to say that the Civil Hospital’s construction should begin right away, taking into account the recommendations made by Cabinet Minister Rao Narbir Singh and Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh for the hospital’s layout.

Transferring Major Sewer Lines to GMDA

During the meeting, Pradeep Dahiya, the Gurugram Municipal Commissioner, made a significant proposal. He advised that the Municipal Corporation now manages the upkeep of sewer and drainage lines over 600 mm that are installed along GMDA’s master roadways; nevertheless, these must be turned over to GMDA. The efficiency and coordination of the city’s sewerage and drainage networks would be improved, he continued, if these larger sewer lines and drains were placed under GMDA’s integrated management system. He gave a thorough report and said that the city’s infrastructure performance would be greatly enhanced by moving networks like the 900 mm and above lines from Bus Stand to CRPF Chowk, Sector 4 to Lakshman Vihar Dividing Road, Old Delhi Road, Jyoti Park, Sector 4/7 to MPS, and Basai Road to GMDA. The Chief Minister acknowledged the plan and instructed the Principal Advisor to see to it that it was implemented as soon as possible.

For the New Drain from Gurugram to Palwal via Nuh, DPR will be ready.

The idea of building a new drain from Gurugram to Palwal via Nuh was also extensively addressed at the conference. According to officials, the project will offer a long-term solution for stormwater disposal and lessen the strain on the Najafgarh Drain. The Chief Minister ordered that this project be given first priority, calling it essential for Gurugram’s future demands. He continued by saying that the new drain would be a revolutionary step in water management and conservation in addition to offering a long-term solution to waterlogging problems. In order to guarantee the project’s viability and thoroughness, the Chief Minister directed the relevant ministries to draft the DPR as soon as possible, taking into account recommendations from Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh and Cabinet Minister Rao Narbir Singh.

The Wazirabad Sports Stadium will be finished on schedule.

During the discussion, Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh asked for an update on the Wazirabad Sports Stadium’s development. Pradeep Dahiya, the municipal commissioner, reported that the building project is moving quickly and that every effort is being made to finish it before the deadline.

According to the Chief Minister, Gurugram is the State’s center for economic growth, and any development projects started here are connected to Haryana’s entire development. To ensure that citizens may immediately benefit, he gave officials instructions to finish all ongoing projects on schedule. He continued by saying that the government wants to guarantee that every city dweller enjoys a high-quality, contemporary, and safe standard of living.
