Punjab SC Commission asks LoP Pratap Singh Bajwa to appear on Nov 10 after reports of disrespect to Bhai Jiwan Singh and Guru Tegh Bahadur images.
The Punjab State SC Commission has called for the Leader of the Opposition, Pratap Singh Bajwa, to personally appear before the Commission on November 10, 2025, in response to a media report that claimed that images of Bhai Jiwan Singh (Bhai Jaita Ji) and Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji were used disrespectfully during the Tarn Taran Assembly by-election.

Commission Chairman Jasvir Singh Garhi provided specifics, stating that newspapers and social media brought the matter to the Commission’s attention. In response, the Commission has ordered Pratap Singh Bajwa to physically attend.
Furthermore, an official notification has directed the Deputy Commissioner Tarn Taran to submit an inquiry report in this regard by November 17, 2025, via the appropriate authorities. Actions conducted after taking into account the Model Code of Conduct and the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, must be included in the report.
