AAP leader Harpal Singh Cheema slams Congress President Raja Warring for casteist comments against Dalits, pledges support for social justice in Punjab.

Harpal Singh Cheema, a senior politician of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Punjab Cabinet Minister, harshly criticized Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring for making casteist comments about the late Dalit leader and former Union Minister Buta Singh. He was in charge of a protest against him in Tarn Taran, where AAP leaders surrounded the Congress office and burned an effigy of Raja Warring while shouting “Raja Warring Haye Haye” and “Congress Murdabad.”

Cheema stated that Warring’s words not only humiliated the Dalit community, but they also showed how deeply rooted the Congress party’s feudal and discriminating worldview is.

Harpal Singh Cheema remarked, “Raja Warring’s words are an insult to the poor, Dalits, and the ideals of Baba Saheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.” “This isn’t just one person making a mistake; it’s a true picture of what Congress is really like.” The party that says it stands for equality has always discriminated against Dalits and viewed them as less than others.

Cheema said the Congress’s “Rajwada Shahi” attitude is still in charge of its politics, where politicians look down on the poor and those who are different. He remarked, “The truth is that Congress’s DNA is anti-Dalit.” “The party is full of leaders who are against social equality and have caste bias.”

Cheema said, “Will the Congress leadership do anything about its state president’s shameful and casteist statement, or will they keep protecting him?” Cheema said again that the Aam Aadmi Party is fully behind the Dalit community and would keep fighting for social justice, equality, and dignity in Punjab and all of India.
