Punjab SC Commission takes suo moto notice of casteist remarks by Congress leader Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, summons him on November 6, 2025.

The Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission has taken suo moto notice of the casteist comment made by Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, the President of the Punjab Congress Committee and a Lok Sabha member from Ludhiana, against the late Buta Singh, who was the Union Home Minister, during an election rally in front of the Tarn Taran Vidhan Sabha.

Sardar Jasvir Singh Garhi, Chairman of the Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission, said that he learned about this issue through social media, where the Congress Party’s Punjab unit president and Lok Sabha member from Ludhiana is making comments about the late Home Minister and Dalit leader Buta Singh based on his color and caste.

He stated that the Commission has taken suo moto notice of this case and instructed Amarinder Singh Raja Warring to come to the office in person on November 6, 2025, and the Returning Officer of Tarn Taran to do the same on November 4, 2025, and give a report.
