CM Dr. Mohan Yadav greets devotees on Chhath Mahaparv 2025 in Ujjain, emphasizes Sun worship, family values, and announces Mithila Ghat at Vikram Sarovar.

As Purvanchal and the northeastern areas commemorate the auspicious anniversary of Chhath Mahaparv with tremendous dedication, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav sent out heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the populace. According to him, the revered Chhath Maiya celebration is founded on scientific ideas and centers on the veneration of the Sun and Water. Lord Suryanarayan provides the energy that keeps the universe going, and water is the source of life. The Chhath fast develops inner strength, self-control, and self-discipline. This celebration is genuinely unique since it honors the sunset and rising sun.

After taking part in the Chhath Pooja held at Vikram Sarovar, which is part of the Samrat Vikramaditya University campus in Ujjain, on Tuesday, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav spoke to devotees.

Bihar has long been a guiding force for India and continues to enjoy the Almighty’s blessings, according to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. Lord Buddha and Mahavir, who enlightened the entire universe as well as the country, were born in Bihar. In the nation, the state has produced the most IAS and IPS officers. Through their ability, merit, sincerity, and simplicity, the people of Bihar have gained national reputation. Madhya Pradesh and Bihar have a long and cultural history together, the chief minister added. It’s common to refer to Madhya Pradesh as the “mother home of rivers.” Bihar receives the holy waters of Shipra Maiya via the Ganga Maiya, Yamuna Maiya, and Chambal Maiya. Similar to this, the Ganga Maiya is how the Son River, which rises in Amarkantak, enriches Bihar.

According to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, mothers and sisters observe the Chhath fast for the benefit of their families, the state, and the country. Their unselfish sacrifice fosters the oneness of the family. The strength of motherhood is the foundation of our culture, and “Bharat Mata” is revered in our country. Mothers and sisters pray for their families’ happiness and well-being even while they face adversity. They are the best fighters in the real world.

Dr. Yadav, the chief minister, emphasized the importance of all holidays and customs in preserving India’s unity. “Integrity” and “Unity in Diversity” are embodied in the sacrifice and commitment of mothers and sisters. This family-oriented custom dates back thousands of years. Additionally, Mata Sita is linked to the Chhath Maiya celebration. A beautiful Ram temple has been created in Ayodhya under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, and at a cost of ₹800 crore, a similarly imposing temple dedicated to Mata Sita is being built in Sitamarhi. The entire country is inspired by Mata Sita’s life, according to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. She chose the forest’s way despite being born a princess, and her unwavering determination typified “Ram Rajya.”

Vikram Sarovar’s announcement of Mithila Ghat

Dr. Yadav, the chief minister, conducted Chhath Pooja at Vikram Sarovar, spoke with worshippers, and gave holiday pleasantries. According to him, Emperor Vikramaditya’s bravery is symbolized by Vikram Sarovar. It was on this occasion that the Chief Minister announced the construction of Mithila Ghat at Vikram Sarovar.
