PIDB organizes investors meet in Chandigarh to attract PPP investments in tourism, heritage hotels, ropeways, and convention centers across Punjab.

Under the auspices of the Punjab Infrastructure Development Board (PIDB), an investors meet was successfully organized in Chandigarh. The goal of the meeting was to increase public-private partnerships (PPP) in the State of Punjab in order to attract investments in tourism and hospitality infrastructure projects.

A portfolio of possible tourism and hospitality projects was presented and discussed at the event, which brought together important stakeholders such as government representatives from PIDB and proponent departments of Housing & Urban Development and Tourism & Cultural Affairs, new project investors and developers, and transaction advisors. Through private sector involvement, the goal was to develop investment opportunities and promote sustainable growth in the tourism and hospitality industry.

The following were some of the main highlights of the Investors Meet: – Presentation of the next six tourism and hospitality projects on PPP to assess and draw in investors, including the development of the Urban Ropeway Project in Amritsar, the Heritage Hotel at Aam Khas Bagh, Sirhind, the Pinkcassia Tourist Complex at Aam Khas Bagh, Ropar, the Heritage Hotel at Darbar Hall, Kapurthala, the Convention Center/Exhibition Center in Mohali, and the Convention Center/Exhibition Center in Ludhiana.

Timelines, statutory clearances, and project viability were discussed in this meeting. PPP framework discussions, including revenue-sharing plans and competitive bidding procedures. a focus on developing project terms that are affordable and appealing to investors. encouragement of investor input to improve and tailor project terms for further involvement.

With the ultimate goal of improving Punjab’s tourism and hospitality infrastructure and the overall experience of visitors, the meeting provided a forum for the start of fruitful discussions between the public and commercial sectors.
