CM Dr. Mohan Yadav highlights growth in Bhavantar Scheme participation with 9.36 lakh farmers, directs timely soybean procurement, payment via DBT, and improved mandi facilities.

According to Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the Bhavantar Scheme was introduced with farmers’ interests in mind and has been well-received throughout the state. According to him, the number of farmers participating in the program has more than tripled, totaling 9.36 lakh. CM Dr. Yadav gave officials instructions to make sure farmers are not inconvenienced at any point during the implementation process.

These directives were given by Chief Minister Dr. Yadav at his home during a review of the Bhavantar Scheme for the purchase of soybeans. The conference was informed that over 50,000 farmers had registered in seven districts: Ujjain, Rajgarh, Shajapur, Dewas, Sehore, Vidisha, and Sagar. In 21 additional districts, more than 10,000 registrations have also been noted.

CM Dr. Yadav directed that farmers be given all pertinent information about the program and that all preparations for the purchase of soybeans in mandis and sub-mandis be finished on time. Registrations have increased dramatically as a result of the current awareness drive, he said. The Chief Minister ordered that farmers receive SMS notifications verifying the payments and that the Bhavantar payment be sent straight to their registered bank accounts via DBT within the allotted time.

Mandis’s technical and personnel arrangements

The meeting was informed that the sale period for soybeans will take place between October 24, 2025, and January 15, 2026. Via the E-Uparjan and E-Mandi portals, all transactions are being carried out online. All mandis and sub-mandis have adequate human and technical resource structures. CCTV surveillance has been established at entry gates and on the premises, and mandi-level employees have undergone training. A help desk has also been established at each mandi.

During review meetings, the Agriculture Secretary, Commissioners, and Collectors received instructions on what needed to be done about the Bhavantar Scheme.

Senior officials and CM Dr. Yadav had in-depth talks about the Solar Pump Scheme for farmers’ welfare in a different meeting. Details on the current drive to install solar pumps throughout the state were provided by the Department of Renewable Energy.

Shri Neeraj Mandloi, the Chief Minister’s additional chief secretary, attended the meeting with other relevant officials.
