CM Nayab Singh Saini, at BMU Convocation, shared Haryana’s education reforms, NEP rollout, & 2 lakh job plan to empower youth with skills & values.

Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that the State Government is working on changes in the education system to give young people good education and job chances so that they may help build the nation and society. The State Government has given 1.80 lakh government employment to eligible young people based only on their skills, without any “kharchi-parchi.” The goal is to create 2 lakh jobs during the third term. The Chief Minister told the young people to keep working hard for competitive exams and promised them that their hard work would pay off.

On Wednesday, the Chief Minister was the Chief Guest at the Fourth Convocation Ceremony of Baba Mastnath University in Asthal Bohar, Rohtak. Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar, the Minister of Development and Panchayats, Sh. Mahipal Dhanda, the Minister of Education, and Mahant Balak Nath Yogi, the Chancellor of the University, were also there. The Chief Minister gave medals and degrees to the pupils.

Sh. Nayab Singh Saini congratulated the students, instructors, and parents and added that a convocation event is a sign of pride and success for any school.

The Chief Minister remarked that the Fourth Convocation of Baba Mastnath University, which was founded in 2012, is continuing the holy legacy of learning that is part of this holy nation. He thanked Chancellor Mahant Balak Nath Yogi Ji for his help and remembered that Baba Mastnath Ayurvedic College started as a small school in 1957 by Mahant Shreyonath Ji Maharaj. Today, it has grown into a large university that teaches a wide range of subjects, including Ayurveda, engineering, law, nursing, and the humanities. Haryana is known as a top state in education, sports, culture, research, and industry, thanks in part to the work of institutions like Baba Mastnath University.

The National Education Policy will give young people chances to learn new skills, do research, and come up with new ideas.

The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi wants an education system that prepares young people for jobs, strengthens their character, and teaches them moral values. To do this, he has put the National Education Policy into effect all around the country. In 2024, Haryana became the first state in India to put the National Education Policy into effect in all of its colleges and universities.

He said that the Haryana Government’s mission is to make sure that all students get a good education and skills that would help them find a job. There have been a number of specific steps made to connect education with skill development. These include the NSQF in schools, the “Pahal Yojana” in colleges, incubation centers in universities, and MoUs with industries in technical institutes.

The Chief Minister remarked that one of the biggest problems of the 21st century is closing the gap between education and work. To do this, education shouldn’t just happen in classrooms; it should also be closely tied to the demands of businesses right now. The industry-academia collaboration model must be used by all colleges and institutions in the state. In this direction, the State Government has inked agreements with more than 580 businesses to help students get jobs in technical schools. He also said that the state is building schools that will teach students from kindergarten to graduate school as part of the new National Education Policy. Several universities have already accepted students under the KG to PG program.

In the last 11 years, the state has opened 80 new colleges and 13 new universities.

Sh. Nayab Singh Saini remarked that in the last 11 years, the state has opened 80 new government institutions, 30 of which are for ladies. There are now 185 colleges in the state. In the same time frame, the state has also opened 13 new universities. There are now 17 medical colleges instead of 6, and the number of MBBS seats has gone up from 700 to 2,435. Also, 15 new government polytechnic schools have launched. There were 28 of these schools in 2014. Now there are 43, and they can take in more students, going from 11,985 to 16,434. The Haryana Kaushal Rojgar Nigam has also given young people jobs and made sure they will keep them.

Mahipal Dhanda says that students should play a big role in making India’s vision of global welfare a reality.

Sh. Mahipal Dhanda, the Minister of Education, told the graduating students to do something significant to help India achieve its goal of worldwide welfare and to carry on the country’s rich culture and history. He stated that India’s saints and sages have been sending significant messages for the good of the globe from ancient times. India has had the idea of global welfare for a long time, and it is a great and noble one. He emphasized that every person should do their part to defend dharma (Dharma), look out for the well-being of all living things, and make India the best and strongest country in the world. Students should make India better in all area of life through their education. He also asked everyone to help make Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi’s dream of making India a developed and powerful nation by 2047 come true.
