HPWPC, led by Minister Vipul Goel, approves ₹41 Cr for sanitation & infrastructure projects across Haryana’s municipal councils to improve civic amenities.

The High Powered Works Purchase Committee (HPWPC) met in Chandigarh. Urban Local Bodies Minister Sh. Vipul Goel led the meeting, which approved eight major projects from different municipal councils in the state. These projects were related to sanitation, infrastructure development, and public amenities.

After looking over the suggestions made at the meeting, projects worth more than ₹41 crore were approved. These included four sanitation projects worth ₹21.66 crore and four infrastructure projects worth ₹19.75 crore.

The municipal councils of Ratia, Uchana, and Mahendragarh all agreed to door-to-door rubbish collection, sorting, transportation, and disposal. The Hansi Municipal Council also approved bio-remediation of old trash, land reclamation, and scientific disposal operations. These four projects will improve the way solid waste is handled in their communities and help keep the ecosystem in balance.

The committee also approved plans to build a community center in Budhena village (Faridabad district), widen and beautify the road from the bus stand to Dabhoda Mor in Farrukhnagar Municipal Council, and build streets and stormwater drainage pipelines in newly regularized colonies in Zone-1 and Zone-2 of Tohana Municipal Council. These infrastructure projects, which will cost ₹19.75 crore, will make roads, drainage systems, and community centers better for everyone.

The state government wants to make every city and town clean and have modern public services, according to Minister Sh. Vipul Goel. Not only will these projects make the infrastructure of cities better, but they will also create jobs and protect the environment for the long term. He told officials to finish all projects on time and at a high standard so that the public can benefit as soon as possible.

The meeting was attended by Sh. Pankaj Kumar, the Director General of the Urban Local Bodies Department, Sh. Kanwar Singh, the Joint Director, Smt. Praveen Batra, the Mayor of Faridabad, and other officials from the districts in question, including commissioners, chairpersons, and councillors.
