Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami assures full government support to find Karandeep Singh Rana, a 22-year-old merchant navy cadet missing near Sri Lanka since Sept 20.

Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami,, said on Wednesday that he was worried over the disappearance of a Dehradun resident who was serving in the merchant navy. He promised the family that they would get all the help and support they needed.

A 22-year-old deck cadet named Karandeep Singh Rana, who lived in Patel Nagar in Dehradun, went missing from a ship in the sea near Sri Lanka on September 20 when it was on its way from Iraq to China.

Dhami told Rana’s father over the phone that the state administration was committed to making sure his son was safe and got back home quickly.

He also said that the state government was always in touch with the central government and the Ministry of External Affairs to make things easier.

The chief minister promised that he would personally talk to people at the Ministry of External Affairs to make sure that action was taken quickly and help was given as needed. He also said again that the state, central government, and relevant agencies were all working together to find the person and bring him back safely.

Dhami asked the family to be patient and told them that the government understands their worry and is working hard to fix the problem.

The family has asked both the chief minister and the Ministry of External Affairs to move quickly to find Rana.
