Uttarakhand Cabinet chaired by CM Dhami approves 8 proposals including UCC amendments, Anganwadi upgrades, employee relaxations, PSU profit sharing, and a special session.

Dehradun: CM Dhami presided over a cabinet meeting at the Secretariat , In the cabinet meeting, which lasted for more than three hours, approximately eight proposals were approved.

The following proposals were approved during the Dhami cabinet meeting: The Uttarakhand Women and Child Development Subordinate Supervisor Service Rules 2021 were amended. All mini Anganwadi centers in the state will be converted to full-fledged Anganwadi centers in accordance with the Government of India’s directives.

Significant announcement regarding the Raipur region of Dehradun: The adjacent areas were declared a freeze zone in anticipation of the construction of the Assembly building in the Raipur area of Dehradun. As a result, the cabinet has authorized the construction of small-scale structures in this freeze zone, including stores and residences. Nevertheless, the Housing Department will establish distinct guidelines for this matter.

Amendment to the UCC: Nepali and Bhutanese citizenship certificates will be recognized as valid in addition to Aadhaar. Foreign registration will also be regarded as legitimate for Tibetan citizens.

Relaxation Arrangements: Employees who have served for 50% of their tenure in a specific position are granted a one-time relaxation during their service duration under the Personnel Department. Nevertheless, certain departments have distinct policies regarding the transition from one department to another. Subsequently, it has been determined that the relaxation will be accessible for transitioning from one service to another.

The prorogation was approved by the Chief Minister under the Culture and Legislative Department pursuant to a deviation that was brought to the Cabinet’s attention.

Special Session to be Conducted: In commemoration of the state’s Silver Jubilee, which will occur in the 25th year of its existence, a special session has been scheduled. The session’s dates have been designated by Chief Minister Dhami.

A significant decision was also made in relation to after-tax profits: The Public Sector Undertaking Corporation was included in the dividend distribution policy for Uttarakhand’s public sector undertakings. They will be required to contribute 15% of their after-tax profit to the state government, as was approved by the cabinet.

In the CM Dhami cabinet, eight proposals were approved:

1. The Uttarakhand Women and Child Development Subordinate Supervisor Service Rules 2021 were amended.

2. All mini Anganwadi centers in the state will be converted to full Anganwadi centers in accordance with the Government of India’s directives.

3. Exemptions were granted for the construction of small houses and stores within the freeze zone that was imposed in Raipur and the surrounding areas. After completing five years of service, health laborers and health supervisors will be eligible for one transfer throughout their entire service period.

4. There were modifications to the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code. Nepali and Bhutanese citizenship certificates will be accepted in addition to Aadhaar. Foreign registration will also be regarded as legitimate for Tibetan citizens.

5. One relaxation will be granted to personnel who have completed 50% of their service in a post under the Personnel Department during their service period. Nevertheless, certain departments had distinct policies regarding the transfer of employees to other departments in order to pursue more advanced positions. Subsequently, it has been determined that the relaxation will be accessible for transitioning from one service to another.
