Haryana govt transfers Rs. 1,945.99 crore directly to farmers’ accounts during Kharif  procurement, ensuring timely MSP payments to registered producers.

In order to guarantee the prompt payment of the Minimum Support Price (MSP) to farmers during the ongoing Kharif  procurement season 2025–26, the Haryana Government has directly transferred Rs. 1,945.99 crore to their bank accounts.

From producers who are registered on the “Meri Fasal Mera Byora” portal, paddy procurement is being conducted. To date, paddy has been acquired from 1,130,83 registered producers throughout the state.

A spokesperson for the Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs disclosed that a total of 1807936.07 lakh metric tonnes of paddy have been delivered to the mandis throughout the state.

Furthermore, the spokesperson disclosed that 976370.73 lakh metric tonnes of paddy have been extracted from a variety of district mandis, and the procurement of 1573715.26 lakh metric tonnes has been finalized. Paddy procurement in Haryana is being conducted by the Haryana State Warehousing Corporation, HAFED, and the Department of Food and Civil Supplies.

As per the MSP established by the Government of India, payment for the procured paddy is directly transmitted to the bank accounts of farmers during the procurement process, according to the spokesperson. Farmers are consistently advised to transport well-dried paddy to the mandis, ensuring that it adheres to the Government of India’s established moisture content limit of 17 percent.

The state’s procurement agencies have implemented sufficient measures to guarantee the efficient procurement of maize, and they have made additional efforts to expedite the harvesting process. Paddy’s minimum support price (MSP) remains at Rs.2,389 per quintal, as established by the Government of India.

Moreover, the Arhatiyas are responsible for the cleaning of the paddy that cultivators bring to mandis and procurement centers at their own discretion. The mandi labor duties, which encompass activities such as filling, weighing, stitching, and loading, are also being covered by the state government.
