Indian Air Force Day 2025, on October 8, marks the IAF’s 1932 founding with parades, guard of honor, and aircraft displays at Hindon.

Ghaziabad: At Hindon Air Base, the Indian Air Force (IAF) commemorated Air Force Day 2025 by displaying fighter jets including the Rafale, Sukhoi Su-30MKI, and MiG-29, demonstrating India’s aerial prowess and operational preparedness. The successes of Operation Sindoor were also showcased during the IAF parade.

The parade, which was part of the celebrations for Air Force Day at Hindon Air Base, was inspected by Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, who also accepted the salute.

On the 93rd Air Force Day, General Anil Chauhan, the Chief of Defense Staff, Air Force Chief Marshal AP Singh, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, and Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K. Operation Sindoor’s accomplishments are highlighted in the IAF parade.

One of India’s biggest and most important air facilities, Hindon Air Base, hosted this year’s parade. Chennai in 2024 and Prayagraj in 2023 were the previous locations for the Air Force Day parades.

During the ceremonies of Air Force Day, the Indian Air Force (IAF) showcased the accomplishments of Operation Sindoor. It illustrated the force’s operational prowess, expanding technological prowess, and longstanding humanitarian duty.

Platforms that helped Islamabad withdraw and request a ceasefire when its Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) called his Indian counterpart were also part of this year’s static exhibition lineup.

The display will also have an S-band Rohini radar.

As a tribute to its more than 60 years of service to the IAF, the recently retired MiG-21 Bison was also included in the display.

Speaking to the air warriors on the 93rd Air Force Day at Hindon Air Base in Ghaziabad, Air Chief Marshal emphasized how Operation Sindoor was a brilliant example of what can be accomplished through careful planning, focused training, and resolute execution.

India’s indigenously designed weaponry are capable of executing daring and accurate attacks, according to the IAF chief, and offensive air action has regained its proper position in the national conscience. “Our confidence in domestic capabilities is validated by the exceptional performance of the locally produced and integrated weapons, which delivered accurate and deadly blows deep within enemy territory. The IAF chief stated, “Operation Sindoor is a brilliant example of what can be accomplished through careful planning, rigorous training, and determined execution.”

“Our performance in Operation Sindoor fills us with professional pride,” the IAF commander continued in his speech, emphasizing the pride in carrying out the mission and bombing terror camps in Pakistan.
