LG Electronics IPO: The consumer electronics and home appliance manufacturer LG Electronics India went public. Major financial participants in the company trusted LG Electronics India because it had raised Rs 3,474.9 crore from 149 anchor investors the day before, on October 6. This is an offer for sale (OFS), which means that the parent company, LG Electronics, in Korea will sell the current shares for 10.18 crore equity shares, with no money going to the Indian branch for expansion.

The shares will be available for subscription by the general public starting on October 7 and ending on October 9, the day the share sale concludes.

The price of each share will fall between Rs 1,080 and Rs 1,140. The company has already sold 3.04 crore shares to anchor investors at the maximum price prior to its stock market launch.

Early investors in this initial public offering (IPO) include a number of well-known domestic and international businesses, including Goldman Sachs, Fidelity, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Government of Singapore, Monetary Authority of Singapore, INQ Holdings, T Rowe Price International, Schroder International, Pictet, and BlackRock. These companies went on to become significant stakeholders in the manufacturer of consumer electronics and home appliances. SBI Mutual Fund, ICICI Prudential MF, HDFC AMC, Nippon Life India, Kotak Mahindra AMC, Axis Mutual Fund, Mirae Asset, and Aditya Birla are examples of domestic investors. The following companies also participated in the IPO: Bajaj Allianz General Insurance, Sun Life AMC, SBI Life Insurance, HDFC Life Insurance, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, Franklin India, WhiteOak Capital, LIC MF, PGIM India, UTI MF, Tata MF, Bandhan MF, Canara Robeco MF, Edelweiss, HSBC MF Invesco, and Motilal Oswal AMC.
As a group of 26 corporations purchased an astounding 1.48 crore shares collectively for a total cost of Rs 1,697.85 crore, there has been widespread agreement among mutual fund investment groups.
LG justified its decision to go public by claiming that company has been a leading seller of various electronic consumer goods in India, including TVs, air conditioners, microwaves, washing machines, and refrigerators, particularly those purchased from its physical stores.
