Two new 212m bridges near Lucknow’s PM Textile Park, set to finish by 2026, will ease access, reduce travel time, and boost local jobs and economy.

By 2026, two bridges that connect to Lucknow’s PM Textile Park will be finished. Bypassing the Jehta village path, the 212-meter-long bridges, which are being constructed in Raitha for Rs 29 crore, would make it easier to reach Atari village and cut the trip to the park to just nine kilometers. It is anticipated that the project will create jobs for thousands of people.

More than 80% of the two important bridges in Retha that will give direct access to the future PM Textile Park in Malihabad have now been built. The project, which is anticipated to be completed by March 2026, will help a number of nearby villages and greatly simplify commuting for thousands of commuters.

Project Specifics and Development

At an estimated cost of Rs 29 crore, the Bridge Corporation (Setu Nigam) is building two parallel bridges over the Gomti River, each measuring 212 meters in length. Streamlining traffic flow by designating one bridge for entry and the other for exit is a crucial component. Retha village and Kolwa village will be connected by the bridges, offering a direct path to the textile park in Atari village, which is only nine kilometers away. As a result, commuters will no longer have to take the clogged Jehta village route.

March 2026 is the official completion date stated by the engineers. The building team does, however, intend to conclude the project by December 2025 because to the quick speed of work, with final work starting in January or February 2026.

Future Effects And Supporting Infrastructure

The connected access road is being widened to four lanes by the Public Works Department (Lok Nirman Vibhag) to accommodate the additional traffic, making it appropriate for both light and heavy vehicles.
