UP : EMTS by Era University & Criterion Tech is India’s first AI-powered digital ventilator with real-time monitoring, ensuring timely ICU care and patient safety.

 UP : The Enhanced Medical Training System (EMTS), created by Era University, Lucknow, and Criterion Tech, consists of a fully digital ventilator and a real-time remote monitoring dashboard with AI and sensors. By combining several automated instruments, the digital ventilator makes it possible to measure the patient’s height, weight, and posture right on the bed.

From keeping an eye on blood pressure, pulse, and heart rate to adjusting patient postures and attending to other medical requirements, caring for critically ill patients in hospitals—particularly in intensive care units—presents a number of difficulties.

In order to tackle these problems, Era University, Lucknow, and Criterion Tech have created the Enhanced Medical Training System (EMTS), which consists of a fully digital ventilator and a real-time remote monitoring dashboard with AI and sensors.

The technology is said to be the first of its kind created in India and was on display at the UP International Trade Show. According to Harishankar, director of Era University and Criterion Tech, the dashboard automatically notifies the appropriate physician and tracks all facets of a patient’s condition in real time.

If the information is disregarded, it is forwarded to a senior surgeon and, if required, higher authorities, guaranteeing prompt medical attention.

By combining several automated instruments, the digital ventilator makes it possible to measure the patient’s height, weight, and posture right on the bed. It has gasoline and urine monitoring devices that provide data to the dashboard continuously. Additionally, the heartbeat rate at which important events, including heart attacks, take place is recorded by the system.

The dashboard monitors the conditions of intensive care unit patients, such as trouble shifting postures, cleanliness of the bedding, problems with skin adhesion, areas that are deteriorating, the need for medicine, and the best angles for elevating the head and feet. To enable physicians and medical professionals to act precisely and promptly, all information is compiled.

The patented method is currently in use at Era Hospital and Ram Manohar Lohia Medical College and has gained acclaim on a national and worldwide level. In order to eliminate manual intervention in hospitals and streamline patient care, it was designed based on the Hospital Information Management Service (HIMS).
