PM Modi to launch Udaipur City-Chandigarh Superfast Express from Banswara today; get full details on the new train service connecting the two cities.

The dream of a new direct train between Udaipur and Chandigarh is likely to come true thanks to PM Modi Banswara’s visit. Today, September 25, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will use a video conference to announce the opening of the first direct rail service from Banswara. Twice a week, this train will run. The station in Udaipur City will carry it live. On September 27, regular rail service will start. The tourism industry will benefit from the direct connectivity between Chandigarh and Udaipur, two popular tourist sites. Within an hour and a half of reaching Chandigarh, the train will set off once more for its subsequent trip to Udaipur.

Schedule :

Train number 20989 will normally leave Udaipur City at 4:05 PM on Wednesdays and Saturdays, arriving in Chandigarh at 9.50 AM on the following day. Starting on September 28, train number 20990 will leave Chandigarh every Thursday and Sunday at 11.20 AM and arrive in Udaipur City at 5.25 AM the following day.

First Special Timetable : 

Starting at 2.30 PM, the first special rail service between Udaipur City and Chandigarh will travel through Rana Pratapnagar (2.40 PM), Mavli (3.13 PM), Kapasan (3.41 PM), Chanderiya (4.25 PM), Bhilwara (5.10 PM), Bijaynagar (5.58 PM), and Ajmer (7.15 PM) before arriving in Chandigarh at 8.15 AM the following day. In a same vein, the first special train service between Chandigarh and Udaipur City would leave Chandigarh at 11.20 AM on Friday and arrive in Udaipur City at 5.25 AM on Saturday.

Bijaynagar, Ajmer, Kishangarh, Phulera, Jaipur, Gandhinagar Jaipur, Dausa, Bandikui, Rajgarh, Alwar, Rewari, Jhajjar, Rohtak, Jind, Narwana, Kaithal, Kurukshetra, Ambala Cantt station, Rana Pratapnagar, Mavli, Kapasan, Chanderiya, Bhilwara, and Bijaynagar.

Two AC 2-tier, six AC 3-tier, two AC 3-tier Economy, six Sleeper Class, four General Class, one Power Car, and one Guard coach will be among the train’s twenty-two coaches.

Haldighati Superfast or Mangarh Dham Superfast are two possible names.

In a letter to Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, MP Dr. Mannalal Rawat asked that the Udaipur-Chandigarh-Udaipur Superfast train be renamed either Janjatiya Gaurav Mangarh Dham Superfast or Haldighati Superfast. According to him, the industrial and rail sectors will benefit from the prime minister’s visit to Banswara, giving young people in the area additional job prospects.
