India urged Pakistan at the UN to focus on its failing economy, military rule, and poor human rights record instead of making baseless accusations.

India criticized Pakistan before the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) on Tuesday for its airstrikes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which are said to have killed at least 30 people on Monday, most of them civilians.

Additionally, India charged that Pakistan had misused the forum by making “baseless and provocative statements against India.”

Pakistan should “focus on rescuing an economy on life support, a polity muzzled by military dominance, and a human rights record stained by persecution,” according to Kshitij Tyagi, Counselor at India’s Permanent Mission in Geneva, who spoke during the 60th Session of the UNHRC.

Perhaps once they find time away from exporting terrorism, harboring UN-prohibited terrorists, and bombing their own people, they would do better to leave the Indian territory they illegally occupied and concentrate on saving an economy on life support, a polity stifled by military domination, and a human rights record marred by mistreatment, rather than lusting after our territory. Tyagi added.

He also emphasized the need for the Human Rights Council to continue being “universal, objective, and non-selective” and called for unity and constructive involvement to be promoted rather than divisiveness.

According to reports, at around two in the morning, fighter jets targeted Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants in the Tirah Valley by dropping at least eight LS-6 bombs on Matre Dara hamlet. Pakistani Taliban terrorists reportedly stocked explosives at a compound, which exploded during the attack, according to police sources.

Zafar Khan, a local police officer, told the Associated Press that the location was being used as a hideout and a place to make bombs by two Taliban commanders, Aman Gul and Masood Khan. He claimed that in other locations, militants had lately installed firearms in mosques and were using residents as human shields.

Social media videos showed injured kids resting on makeshift mattresses while locals examined the damage.

A comment regarding the incident has not yet been issued by the Pakistani authorities. Although he did not name the perpetrator, a top police official in Tirah told AFP that the jets had hit four residences.

In the meantime, over 2,000 people protested the deadly attacks on Monday afternoon in a nearby town.
