Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed grief and condolences on Friday for the death of veteran Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Prabhat Jha.

Jha, a BJP leader, died on Friday morning in a Delhi hospital at the age of 67. He had been unwell for a long time.

CM Yadav wrote on X, “Quite sad news was received about the death of former state president of the BJP MP and veteran leader Prabhat Jha. May Baba Mahakal grant peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family in bearing this loss.”

He went on to say, “Your (Prabhat Jha’s) significant contribution to the development of Madhya Pradesh will always inspire us. Your death is an irreparable loss for the political world. Om, Shanti!”

VD Sharma, the BJP state president, too conveyed his condolences and paid tribute to the senior BJP leader.

 

“We received very sad news regarding the death of prominent BJP leader and former state president of BJP MP Prabhat Jha. May God grant peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family as they face this dreadful loss. Om Shanti!,” Sharma wrote on X.

Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, also condoled and paid appreciation to the departure of BJP leader Prabhat Jha.

“Prabhat Jha, a senior BJP leader, former Rajya Sabha MP, and state head of the Madhya Pradesh BJP, has died. I pray to God to rest the departed soul in peace and to give the bereaved family members and supporters the strength they need to bear the loss. “Humble tribute!” Dhami posted on X.

Jha was born on June 4, 1957, in Hariharpur, Darbhanga district, Bihar. He was Madhya Pradesh BJP president from May 8, 2010 to December 15, 2012. He was elected to the Rajya Sabha from Madhya Pradesh in April 2008.
