On this occasion, the Chief Minister stated that Kota Greenfield Airport in Rajasthan will serve as a watershed moment in the provision of cutting-edge air facilities to the general people.

 

Its building will not only boost tourism in the state, but it will also stimulate education and commercial operations. He stated that the development of the aviation sector is critical to attaining the goal of developing Rajasthan.

 

The Chief Minister stated that the air sector is being prioritized at the same rate that road and rail routes are expanding in the state. With the development of the Greenfield Airport in Kota, the metropolis of education and industry, lakhs of Hadoti inhabitants will have access to air travel. There will be no shortage of fulfilling our government’s resolutions.

 

He stated that the Jaipur Airport terminal’s capacity is also being upgraded. Its current capacity is 50 lakh passengers per year, which will expand to 70 lakh per year following expansion. He requested the Chairman of the Airports Authority of India to start work on the new state terminal at Jaipur Airport as soon as possible. The Chief Minister stated that the state government will grant free land for the development and expansion of Udaipur Airport, as well as a permanent civil enclave and approach road to Uttarlai (Barmer) Airport.

 

The land around the airport should be planned for development.

 

The Chief Minister asked Kota Development Authority personnel to create a strategy for future development around the proposed airport. The land surrounding the airport should be bought or planned under the Land Pooling Act, and the region should be developed.

 

The aviation sector is constantly increasing under the leadership of the Prime Minister.

 

Shri Sharma said that under the leadership of the successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the aviation sector of the country is developing at a rapid pace. Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla has also made special efforts for the Kota Greenfield Airport. He said that the previous government had a negative attitude towards Kota Greenfield Airport due to which this project got delayed. But now our government will complete the work of this airport on time and dedicate it to the public.

 

DPR of Greenfield Airport is being prepared in Rajasthan

 

Chairman of Airports Authority of India, Shri Sanjeev Kumar said that Detailed Project Report (DPR) is being prepared for Kota Greenfield Airport. After this, tenders will be invited. Principal Secretary of Urban Development Department, Shri T. Ravikant told through the presentation that Greenfield Airport will be constructed on 440.086 hectares of land. This land is located in revenue village Tulsi, Kaithuda, Balapura and Deoria, District Bundi within the perimeter limit of Kota Development Authority. Out of this, 406.678 hectares of forest land and 33.408 hectares of non-forest land is owned by Kota Development Authority.

 

State government will provide free land, Airports Authority of India will construct and operate it

 

The Chief Minister said that the state government will provide land free of cost for the construction of Kota Greenfield Airport. At the same time, the Airports Authority of India will have the complete responsibility of construction, development and operation of the Greenfield Airport. He informed that the Airports Authority of India has been given permission to survey the airport. Also, the necessary action has been taken to shift the 400 kV high tension line of PGCIL (Power Grid Corporation of India Limited) from the proposed land of the airport and funds will also be made available for this.
