As fighting between Israel and Iran escalates with Washington’s backing, U.S. President Donald Trump asserted that the United States possesses a “virtually unlimited supply” of critical munitions. His remarks signal confidence in America’s military readiness amid rising global tensions and came shortly after reports of the alleged killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, an event that has intensified the regional crisis.
Trump Highlights Record-Level U.S. Weapons Stockpiles
In a post on Truth Social, Trump declared that U.S. weapons stockpiles of medium- and upper-medium grade munitions are at historic highs. He emphasized:
“As was stated to me today, we have a virtually unlimited supply of these weapons. Wars can be fought ‘forever,’ and very successfully, using just these supplies.”
Trump also acknowledged that while standard-grade munitions are abundant, high-end weapons inventories “are not where we want to be.” Nevertheless, he highlighted that advanced systems are strategically positioned in allied nations, ensuring extended operational capacity beyond domestic stockpiles.

The former president used the opportunity to criticize Joe Biden, claiming that significant quantities of advanced military equipment had been sent to Ukraine without adequate replenishment. Trump insisted that his administration had rebuilt the U.S. armed forces during his first term and that America is now “stocked, and ready to WIN, BIG.” These comments underscore Trump’s ongoing effort to contrast his defense policies with those of his successor.
Zelensky Warns of Impact on Ukraine Aid
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky cautioned that prolonged instability in the Middle East could disrupt crucial military assistance to Kyiv.
“If there are prolonged hostilities in the Middle East, it will certainly affect supplies. I am sure of that,” Zelensky stated on Monday.
Ukraine depends heavily on U.S. air defense ammunition to protect its infrastructure from missile and drone attacks. Any diversion of resources toward the Israel-Iran conflict could complicate supply chains and affect battlefield dynamics in Eastern Europe.
