Redmi is all set to expand its popular Note lineup with the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G, scheduled to launch in India on April 2. Ahead of its official debut, the company has already revealed key details, showcasing that this “special edition” model focuses on enhancing essentials rather than introducing radical changes.
One of the highlights of the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G is its upgraded battery. The device will feature a 5,800mAh unit, slightly larger than the 5,520mAh battery found on the standard Redmi Note 15 5G. According to Redmi, this allows for over 44 hours of usage on a single charge. Fast charging is supported at 45W, ensuring the phone can be quickly powered up.

Design-wise, the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G will be available exclusively on Flipkart in India and comes in three color options: Carbon Black, Crimson Reserve (Red), and Frosted White. The Crimson Reserve variant stands out with a vegan leather back and a sleek 7.82mm thickness.

On the camera front, the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G adopts a dual-camera setup housed in a squircle-shaped module. The main 50-megapixel “MasterPixel” camera supports 4K video recording. While it differs from the standard Redmi Note 15 5G—which has a 108-megapixel main camera and an ultra-wide lens—the SE variant aims to offer a solid photography experience with simpler, more focused features.
Powerful Performance on Redmi Note 15 SE 5G with Enhanced CPU and GPU
Performance-wise, the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G will run on the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, similar to the base variant. Redmi also promises up to 48 months of lag-free performance, with 30% more CPU output and 10% more GPU output, ensuring smooth operation over time.
Overall, the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G appears to be a refined version of the base model, with the primary emphasis on longer battery life, polished design, and reliable performance. With its launch just around the corner, it will be interesting to see how this special edition competes with other devices in the mid-range segment.
