London-based tech brand Nothing has launched its latest audio accessory, the Nothing Headphone (a), globally alongside the new Nothing Phone 4(a) Series. This marks the company’s second over-ear offering, positioned as a more affordable alternative to the original Nothing Headphone 1, while retaining the brand’s signature minimalistic design.

Features and Comfort of Nothing Headphone (a)

Weighing just 310 grams, the Nothing Headphone (a) comes with breathable memory foam earcups for long-lasting comfort. The headphones are equipped with Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which adjusts noise cancellation levels according to the user’s environment. For voice calls, the device supports Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) using three microphones to isolate the user’s voice and reduce background noise for clearer communication.

The Nothing Headphone (a) also features Static Spatial Audio, delivering a surround-sound-like listening experience. Users can control playback, volume, and mode switching using the classic roller, paddle, and button layout. The headphones also support “Channel Hop,” allowing smooth navigation between apps, and the buttons can act as a camera shutter for capturing photos and videos on paired devices. Customization is available via Nothing’s companion app.

Battery Life and Durability

One of the biggest highlights of the Nothing Headphone (a) is its battery life. The company claims up to 135 hours of playback on a single charge—roughly five days of continuous use. The headphones also support fast charging, providing 5 hours of playback with just 5 minutes of charging. For durability, the device carries an IP52 rating, offering modest dust and water resistance.

Pricing and Availability

The Nothing Headphone (a) is priced at GBP 149 in the UK (around ₹18,200), $199 in the US, and EUR 159 in Europe (roughly ₹17,000). Buyers can choose from four colors: black, white, pink, and yellow. Pre-orders begin immediately through Nothing’s official website and select retail partners. Open sales for black, white, and pink variants start on March 13, while the yellow variant, a limited-edition color, will go on sale on April 6.

As of now, Nothing has not revealed pricing or availability details for the Nothing Headphone (a) in India.

The launch of Nothing Headphone (a) demonstrates the company’s commitment to delivering affordable, feature-packed audio products with long battery life and premium design, complementing its latest smartphone lineup.
