One of the most notable enhancements is the provision of missing call notifications. In situations where a call is not answered, individuals have the option to transmit a message, which defaults to an audio message for missed calls, but switches to a video message for missed video calls.
WhatsApp is also enhancing voice conversations by introducing real-time reaction features. Users can now respond promptly with expressions such as “cheers” to signify their attentiveness, thereby avoiding interruption of the conversation. The speaker limelight feature is also accessible during group video conversations, ensuring that the active speaker is prominently highlighted.

In the artificial intelligence category, WhatsApp has been improving its capabilities through the support of Meta AI. The service is enhancing its image generation models through collaboration with Midjourney and Flux, resulting in an improvement in the quality of AI-generated images. Status updates are being creatively enhanced through the integration of interactive decals, music lyric templates, and question prompts. The user is now able to pose queries regarding Status, which can be responded to directly by the viewer.
