Bharat Taxi app launched by Amit Shah faces criticism for broken booking features, poor UI, and lack of functional services in practical use.
Union Cooperation Minister Amit Shah unveiled the Bharat Taxi app today as a brand-new, government-backed taxi service. I personally tried the app after it was released to check how it functions for actual users. That practical application made it evident that the experience was unsatisfactory. Although the app is up, its current condition is far from functional.
A number of fundamental functions for booking taxis are either absent or malfunctioning, and the entire process feels incomplete from the outset.
Experience of the Bharat Taxi App Following Launch
The lack of an instant taxi booking feature is the main problem with the Bharat Taxi app. A fundamental element of all taxi services is the inability to request a transport for immediate travel. For the majority of users, this alone renders the software useless.
Nothing comes up, even if you explore additional choices like renting a car or going out of town. Although these categories are displayed on the app, no taxis may be reserved under them. Although it is advertised as a service, airport travel is likewise ineffective in reality. The majority of Delhi locations are not accepted by the app when choosing pickup or drop locations, making airport reservations difficult.

There are very few ways to make reservations. The app only permits airport transit, interstate travel, and hourly rentals with a four-hour minimum booking. Local city rides are completely unavailable. The software does not provide a solution for short excursions, regular commuting, or urgent travel.
All in all, the application displays several services on the screen, but none of them function as intended. It is evident that the service is not yet suitable for frequent customers when every booking attempt ends in a dead end.
Problems with the Bharat Taxi App and User Comments
Early in the user journey, issues arise. The login procedure is ill-designed as well. If an incorrect digit is entered during the OTP, backspace does not correctly delete the preceding number. Users are forced to restart the login procedure as a result, which is annoying for such a simple action.
The same problems are reflected in user reviews on the Play Store. At the moment, the Bharat Taxi app has a poor rating of 2.8. Numerous customers have complained about the user interface’s confusion, malfunctioning functionality, and general bad experience. The app is characterized as underwhelming and lacking in several reviews.
Even though Bharat Taxi has been formally introduced, it is now unusable in practical situations. Before the app can operate as a trustworthy taxi service, it needs significant modifications.
