The foldable smartphone market in India is witnessing a fresh wave of competition with the launch of the AI+ Nova Flip 5G, a clamshell-style device designed to bring premium features at a more accessible price point. Alongside the Nova 2 5G and Nova 2 Ultra 5G, this latest entrant signals AI+’s intent to shake up the segment.
Priced at Rs 29,999 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, the AI+ Nova Flip 5G significantly undercuts most foldable smartphones currently available in the country. The device will be available in a Glacier White finish via Flipkart starting May, although the exact sale date has not yet been announced.
Stylish Design Meets High-End Display
The AI+ Nova Flip 5G adopts a familiar clamshell foldable design that blends portability with functionality. It features a 6.9-inch AMOLED inner display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2790 x 1188 pixels. With support for 10-bit colour, 100% DCI-P3 gamut, and peak brightness of 1200 nits, the display promises a vibrant and smooth viewing experience.

Powering the AI+ Nova Flip 5G is the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, paired with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The device runs on Android 15 with AI+’s custom NxtQ OS layered on top, offering a modern and optimized software experience.
Camera Features Designed for Flexibility
In the camera department, the AI+ Nova Flip 5G sports a 50MP primary sensor along with a 2MP depth sensor. The setup supports up to 10x digital zoom and is optimized for use in partially folded or hover modes—a key advantage of foldable smartphones.
For selfies and video calls, the device includes a 32MP front-facing camera, ensuring clear and detailed shots.
Battery and Connectivity
The smartphone packs a 4,325mAh battery with support for 33W wired charging, along with PD3.0 and PPS standards. Connectivity features include dual 5G SIM support, Bluetooth, NFC, OTG, GPS (L1 + L5), and a USB Type-C port.
Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, gyroscope, and hall sensor. Despite being a foldable, the phone maintains a relatively slim profile at 7.2mm (folded) and weighs 193 grams.
