In a chilling incident from Etawah, Uttar Pradesh, a daughter-in-law was seen torturing her old mother-in-law mercilessly in front of her husband and young children.

A deeply disturbing thing has taken place in Etawah district (UP), where a woman is reported to beat her elderly mother-in-law inside their home and such incident was caught on camera. The footage went viral on the social media platform showing a daughter-in-law slapping and even pulling the hair of her mother-in-law as the victim could be seen sitting defenseless on the floor. In other parts of the video, a small child can be seen pleading with the attacker to stop, but the assaults continue.

The brutal act unfolded in the presence of the victim’s son-her husband-who remains a silent observer in the footage. His inaction has sparked outrage online, with viewers questioning how a person could watch such violent behavior towards his own mother without intervening.

As the video continues to circulate, it casts a harsh light on the rising incidents of elderly abuse within families and the urgent need for law enforcement to respond swiftly to protect vulnerable citizens
