CM Pushkar Singh Dhami performs Kanya Pujan in Roorkee, inaugurates religious projects, blesses newlyweds, and reviews Uttarakhand’s preparations for the upcoming Kumbh Mela.
Pushkar Singh Dhami, the chief minister of Uttarakhand, did “Kanya Pujan” on Friday at a function held at Jeevan Deep Seva Nyas in Roorkee.
Dhami conducted the Kanya Pujan with his wife, Gita Dhami.
In addition, he prayed in the temple and expressed his hope for the state’s citizens’ prosperity and welfare. Juna Akhada’s Mahamandleshwar Swami Yatindran and Giri Maharaj also bestowed blessings on the chief minister.
During a five-day religious and social festival, worship and rituals were conducted at Jeevandeep Ashram in Roorkee, along with prayers for the state’s citizens’ happiness and prosperity. In addition, the book on Sanatan Dharma and Life Philosophy was released, the Brahmleen Shankaracharya Swami Satyamitranand Giri Auditorium was inaugurated, and saints and ascetics bestowed blessings, Dhami wrote on X.

“Best wishes for a new life were given to the newlywed couples who entered into wedlock in the mass marriage program on this occasion, in addition to performing the Kanya Pujan,” he continued.
Later, Dhami stated that Sanatan is being reestablished and that all holy locations in the state are being beautified.
“Today, the gate built on Hanuman Chowk and an auditorium here in Roorkee were inaugurated, and 1100 females participated in Kanya Pujan. I’d like to congratulate everyone. We are reestablishing our Sanatan. Today, Prime Minister Modi is leading the effort to beautify and ornament all of our sacred monuments. There are ongoing initiatives to revitalize our sacred sites in a different way,” he stated.
The Chief Minister said, “We have started all preparations for Kumbh,” in reference to the next Kumbh Mela. Every area is being worked on. I’ve already conducted two review meetings. Here, we shall all work together to plan a magnificent and safe Kumbh.
Dhami went on to discuss the state’s continuous efforts to promote religious development, stating, “The Ayodhya Temple has been built in honor of Lord Ram.” We have successfully built the Kashi Corridor in Kashi. We have established the Mahakal Lok in Ujjain. We are working on Badri Vishal’s master plan as quickly as possible.
“The Kedarnath Dham program is rapidly coming to an end,” he added. The Haripur gate will be constructed in Kalsi. Additionally, the Ganga and Sharda Corridor will be established. Additionally, we are working on the construction and restoration of numerous Kedarkantha temples in Dehradun. We are constantly working to revitalize our places of worship.
