CM Dhami launches 15,600 homes, 244 waste vehicles, and 115 health centers under PMAY, boosting sanitation, housing, and healthcare in Uttarakhand.

Under the PM Awas Yojana, CM Dhami launched 15,600 new homes as part of a number of urban development initiatives. In addition to announcing 244 additional vehicles for solid waste disposal, he said that these initiatives would increase access to healthcare and enhance urban sanitation.

At Mukhya Sevak Sadan, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched a number of significant projects meant to improve urban development throughout Uttarakhand.

As part of Angikar 2.0, the chief minister inaugurated 15,600 new homes under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), started a registration drive for street sellers, and established 115 Urban Ayushman Arogya Mandirs throughout 52 urban local bodies. In addition, 244 brand-new solid waste management vehicles were sent out to different towns.

Speaking at the event, Dhami emphasized that these programs would improve urban sanitation and waste management, boost street vendors’ incomes, increase healthcare facilities, and offer housing for the urban poor. According to him, these projects would improve cleanliness and civic norms while also establishing standards for urban local governments across the nation.

The CM also commended the Smart City Mission for fusing technology with public amenities to set an example of optimal urban development and emphasized the importance of initiatives like Amrit Yojana in bolstering urban infrastructure, including as water supply, sewerage, and green areas. He said that thousands of impoverished households have been given permanent dwellings through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and that the Swachh Bharat Mission is still working to improve the state’s solid waste management and sanitation infrastructure.

CM Dhami reaffirmed that the state government is still dedicated to raising the standard of living and providing all Uttarakhand residents with the advantages of welfare programs like the Smart City Mission, PM SVANidhi Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and Amrit Mission, under the direction of the prime minister.
