NDA secures massive Bihar win as Yogi Adityanath rallies voters and Keshav Maurya strengthens grassroots support for the BJP-led alliance.

The National Democratic Alliance won a huge victory in the Bihar assembly election thanks in part to the frenzied campaign of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the backstage tactics of Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya.

In order to boost the party’s election campaign in Bihar, where the NDA was facing off against the Grand Alliance, led by the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Yogi Adityanath spoke at a record 30 rallies in favor of 43 candidates in ten days and took part in one roadshow.

During the Bihar elections, Adityanath was one of the BJP chief ministers’ most active and sought-after celebrity campaigners. His rallies, which drew sizable crowds, assisted the BJP in gaining support by bridging caste and communal divides.

Voters responded favorably to his nickname, “Bulldozer Baba,” as he disparaged the RJD-Congress combination on issues of crime, corruption, and jungle raj. Often quoted as “batenge toh katenge, ek rahenge toh safe rahenge” (division would lead to destruction), he warned people that if elected to power, dynastic mafias will plunder Bihar.

Yogi’s “Pappu, Tappu, Appu” jab at INDIA bloc campaigners Rahul Gandhi, Tejashwi Yadav, and Akhilesh Yadav inspired the electorate and put the opposition on the defensive by pointing out that the opposition leaders were ignorant of the progress made in Bihar under the NDA government and the steps taken to improve the welfare of the populace.

In a post on X, Yogi Adityanath congratulated party leaders and workers on the overwhelming win, saying that the victory is dedicated to the BJP-NDA alliance’s office bearers and workers in the Bihar legislative assembly elections and “salutations to the people and the masses!”

“This historic victory is a testament to the people of Bihar’s unwavering faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s development-oriented leadership and the double-engine government’s public-welfare policies.” The new Bihar is confidently moving forward on the path of growth, stability, prosperity, and good governance, which is supported by this mandate,” he said.

The BJP’s backward face in Uttar Pradesh, deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, was named party co-incharge for the Bihar assembly polls by the party’s national leadership. It was Maurya’s responsibility to rally the non-Yadav OBC group.

He has expertise working at the grassroots level with party cadres as a former state president of the BJP.

He fortified the organization and led the BJP to a significant triumph in the 2017 assembly election, where the party secured 325 seats (with allies) out of 403 assembly seats, forming a majority government for the first time in decades. 312 seats were won by the BJP alone.

In a previous speech at a gathering in Lucknow, Union Home Minister Amit Shah called Maurya his buddy, highlighting his reputation within the party as a strategist and organization guy who has now completed the assignment assigned by the leadership in the Bihar elections.

During the Bihar election campaign, Maurya’s picture at an airport with Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav became popular on social media. In a post on X following the NDA victory, Maurya took aim at Akhilesh Yadav, saying, “We won Magadh, and we will win Awadh too.” In 2027, we’ll do it again!

Akhilesh had previously said, “We won Awadh in the 2024 Lok Sabha election and will win Magadh in the 2025 Bihar assembly election.” This comment was a response to his declaration.

“Bihar has demonstrated today that it has faith in hard work, sound governance, and the determination to build a developed Bihar,” Maurya said. Every Bihari who has firmly rejected the politics of jungle raj and appeasement in favor of sound government and development deserves this win.
