Yogi Adityanath reviews Uttar Pradesh Diwas 2026 plans; main event at Rashtra Prerna Sthal, Lucknow, with state-wide and global celebrations.

As chief minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed preparations for the January 24-26 celebrations on Thursday, he instructed authorities that the main state-level Uttar Pradesh Diwas 2026 event will be held at Rashtra Prerna Sthal in Lucknow.

Additionally, events will be planned at Gautam Buddha Nagar district’s Noida Shilpgram.

“Celebrations ought to take place in every district of the state, in other states, and in nations where a sizable population of Uttar Pradeshis live,” he declared.

He stated that during the festivities, all of the state’s Geographical Indication (GI)-tagged goods as well as One District One Products should be on display. “One of Uttar Pradesh’s most important identities,” he remarked.

He stated that “One District, One Cuisine” should receive particular attention this year.

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Birsa Munda, Vande Mataram, and Anand Math, among others, should all be featured in the cultural events and theatrical productions, he said.

According to him, celebrations for National Youth Day on January 12, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Jayanti on January 23, Uttar Pradesh Day on January 24, National Tourism Day/Voters’ Awareness Day on January 25, and Republic Day on January 26 should all be extravagantly planned.

According to him, the Uttar Pradesh Day celebrations should be linked to organizations like Bhatkhande Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Sangeet Natak Akademi, and Lalit Kala Akademi because doing so will increase the activities’ scope and allure.

In honor of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s birth anniversary on January 23, he suggested that Civil Defense hold simulated exercises in each district.

He ordered that Uttar Pradesh Diwas be celebrated grandly in Delhi and Maharashtra as well, citing the substantial number of Uttar Pradesh migrants living there.

“We should felicitate at least three to five Uttar Pradeshi citizens who have made significant contributions to business, entrepreneurship, innovation, education, art, science, or administration and who live in other states,” he remarked.

Officers are required to regularly address public grievances.
