Yogi Adityanath urges all citizens to fly the Sanatan flag, warns against drugs, conversion and love jihad, calling for unity to protect Sanatan Dharma.
LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, speaking passionately from the Jhajjar area of Haryana, urged all Sanatani households to fly the Sanatan flag, or Dharma Dhwaj, as a symbol of their cultural pride and spiritual dedication. He also called for national unity to protect Sanatan Dharma. Speaking during an idol consecration ceremony and Aath Man Bhandara at Baba Palanath Ashram in Kablana village, Chief Minister Yogi issued a warning against what he said were increasing efforts to use drugs, religious conversion, and love jihad to drive society—especially the youth—in the direction of evil. He urged religious leaders to talk candidly about these problems and to start a concerted effort to oppose these influences.
“Bharat also had to deal with foreign invasions during the last time it experienced its golden period. These days, foreign countries might try to destabilize India once more using narcotics and conversion rather than guns. Yogi warned.
He claimed that safeguarding Sanatan Dharma was equivalent to safeguarding India’s identity and the welfare of the world. “Anti-Sanatan actions should never be tolerated. The only way Sanatan can prosper is if we all work together. As a nation, we suffered whenever we were split along linguistic, regional, caste, or appeasement lines. He urged unification under the Sanatan faith, saying that “difference leads to downfall.”
He asked people to fly the same flag at home, referring to the Dharma Dhwaj that is currently atop the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. It represents India’s triumph and spiritual strength and is more than just a piece of fabric. Sanatan Dharma will continue to lead humanity forever, as symbolized by the saffron flag fluttering over Ayodhya,” he remarked.

The Chief Minister also called attention to the growing prevalence of drugs, calling them a weapon to ruin the future of the country. “Drugs impair one’s ability to think. To weaken the youth, they are being smuggled into India. Before this disease spreads throughout society, we must protect the next generation,” he said.
Yogi highlighted the depth of India’s ancient culture by describing Sanatan Dharma as the world’s oldest spiritual tradition, which uses a variety of devotional and intellectual pathways to achieve harmony and global welfare. He emphasized how the Nath Sampradaya, which has its roots in Adinath Bhagwan Shiva, has helped the average person access spiritual knowledge through its twelve sub-sects and yogic traditions.
The various manifestations of Shiva that are revered throughout India represent our variety and oneness. “The essence of devotion, discipline, and self-realization has been preserved in the Nath tradition,” he said.
Yogi recalled the dedication of the Ram Temple, saying, “The victory of faith was symbolized on November 25 when Prime Minister Narendra Modi raised the huge saffron flag at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi. An Indian prime minister personally lay the foundation and conducted the consecration ceremony for the first time, demonstrating to the world India’s civilizational revival.
