Preparations at the Noida International Airport (NIA) have accelerated due to the high likelihood that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will open the airport this month. To finalize plans for the high-profile event, a joint meeting of police, administration, and authority officials is planned for the near future.

1. Helipad Construction and VVIP Movement

Work has started to locate and build five helipads on the airport grounds in preparation for the Prime Minister, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Governor Anandiben Patel’s arrival. These will be situated behind the terminal building in the apron area:

Three Helipads: Set aside for the helicopters of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

1 Helipad: For Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister.

1 Helipad: For Anandiben Patel, the governor.

The Prime Minister’s reserve routes and the media’s admission procedures are presently being discussed.

2. Schedule and Location of the Event

The purpose of the event is to provide the prime minister with a thorough rundown of the enormous infrastructure project.

Arrival and Tour: The PM is anticipated to head straight to the terminal building from the helipad next to the runway. He will be introduced to the airport’s amenities inside through multimedia presentations and exhibits.

Public Address: Directly across from the terminal building, a large stage inside a German hangar will host the inauguration and public address after the tour.

Venue Capacity: A field measuring 150,000 square meters has been created and leveled to hold spectators.

3. Regional Reach and Public Involvement

The public meeting is anticipated to draw a sizable crowd, with participants probably traveling from five districts and three neighboring states.

Aligarh, Bulandshahr, Ghaziabad, Mathura, and Hapur are the districts of Uttar Pradesh.

Delhi, Rajasthan, and Haryana are neighboring states.

4. Route planning and traffic control

The police administration is creating a comprehensive route and parking strategy to handle the surge of attendees and VIPs.

Primary Route: The Jewar-Bulandshahr road is the primary public transportation route.

The link expressway that connects to the Yamuna Expressway interchange is an alternate route.

Contingency Routes: If necessary, authorities are looking into temporary entrance points from Dayanatpur and the Jewar-Khirja route (via the former Rohi road).

5. Beautification and Infrastructure

To make sure the area is visually prepared for the inauguration, agencies like JP Infratech and the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) have accelerated their work.

Expressways: The Yamuna Expressway interchange and the connecting expressway are now being beautified.

Final Touches: From the airport’s entrance gate to the Yamuna Expressway, general painting, lighting, and cleaning are being done, including new white lane markers.
