Cyclone Montha Impact: Gorakhpur Sees Gusts and Rain

by Desk

Gorakhpur and eastern UP experience rain, gusts, and dropping temperatures as Cyclone Montha approaches from Bay of Bengal, says meteorologist Kailash Pandey.

Gorakhpur and the surrounding area are experiencing the same series of weather fluctuations that started on Chhath. There was a noticeable chill on Thursday morning after a spell of drizzle and light rain on Wednesday.

Kailash Pandey, a meteorologist, said a low-pressure system that originated in the Arabian Sea is to blame for the current weather. It is not anticipated that the spell of clouds and sporadic rain will end, though.

Cyclonic Storm ‘Montha’, a new weather system, has now moved into the Bay of Bengal. According to reports, this storm is moving toward Bihar after passing over Jharkhand and Odisha. The districts in eastern Uttar Pradesh are also anticipated to experience its effects.

According to Kailash Pandey’s analysis of the current scenario, Thursday may see severe gusts, rain, and lightning in some areas.
Temperature Drop

The temperature has already dropped somewhat as a result of the weather shift over the last three days. The measured temperature ranges from a minimum of about 20°C to a maximum of about 27°C.

The meteorologist predicts that the low temperature will only be 18°C and the maximum temperature will drop to 25°C once ‘Montha’ takes effect on Thursday.

Rain will raise the humidity of the atmosphere, according to Kailash Pandey. The cold will therefore feel stronger than the reported temperature indicates, making it seem colder overall.
