CM Yogi Adityanath, at Bharat Parv in Ekta Nagar, hails Sardar Patel’s unifying legacy and warns that India will respond firmly to any security threat.

Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, highlighted Sardar Patel’s role in bringing together the former princely states of India after independence and warned that anyone attempting to jeopardize India’s security would pay a price.

As part of the ongoing “Bharat Parv” celebrations, Adityanath spoke at a rally at the Statue of Unity at Ekta Nagar to commemorate Patel’s 150th birthday. Some princely state leaders, such as the Nizam of Hyderabad and the Nawab of Junagadh, were hesitant to join the Republic of India once it gained independence. But Sardar Saheb made it very evident to them that their agreement would benefit them. If not, you can convince them in various ways. And you must have witnessed their escape from the nation,” he remarked.

The UP chief minister compared Patel to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that the new India does not compromise on the security, sovereignty, and integrity of the nation. “There will be consequences for anyone who dares to jeopardize India’s security.” When the time comes, this new India reacts suitably. Over the last eleven years, we have seen it. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel established “One India” by uniting the former 563 princely republics. In a similar vein, PM Modi has spent the previous eleven years trying to make that One India into the Shreshth (best) India, he continued.
